Venue School of Punjabi Studies, Punjabi University, Chandigarh. The mega event was organised by the school of studies at Punjabi University and inaugurated jointly by Surjit Patar and Dean, college development council of the university. The conference well attended and was a grand success. The prominent scholars of linguistics and folklore chaired twelve sessions and specialised fields of the theme of conference. The book, Semiotics and Narrative of Punjab by Bhupinder Singh Khaira was released by the vice chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University. The Theme of the conference was’ Language and Culture in Education and nation building ‘NEP 2020. The conference was organised under aegis of Dr. Satbir Singh Gossal, was great success. The guest of honour was Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Vice chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. M. J. Warsi, Head of the department of Linguistics and President Linguistics Society of India. Prof. G.K. Panikkar, a leading figure in every session, the doyen of linguistics in India His Excellency, Gulab Chand Kataria, was kind enough to bless the conference and conclude the valedictory., passionately and admirably.
